I had the privilege of serving as a jury member during the selection of participants for the illustration and comic sequences workshop as part of Kafka Year 2024. It was an enriching experience to assess the diverse and creative entries, and to contribute to the curation of talents who will explore and reinterpret Kafka's themes through their unique artistic expressions.

Comic book participant
During my involvement in the AFRICOMICS project, I had the privilege of participating in a series of local workshops from 2021 to 2022, where we created comic strips on the theme "IMAGINE your world at its best...". These workshops, co-led by local and German trainers, provided a unique blend of perspectives and artistic approaches.

My work was selected for the international workshop held in Ghana in July 2022, themed "DECOLONIZE." This workshop was an extraordinary opportunity to collaborate with talented comic artists from across Africa, fostering discussions on decolonization, creative storytelling, and the development of a strong intra-African network. The experience culminated in my receiving an international certificate, recognizing the skills and insights gained throughout the project.

Additionally, the comics developed during the workshop were published in an anthology by SCHLR & MCK, a renowned German publisher. This publication was a significant milestone in my career, as it showcased our creative works and the cultural narratives we explored, bringing African comic art to a global audience.

Collaborative Arts Project
In March 2018, I had the privilege of participating in the Creative Futures 01 program during Innovation Month, where I developed and executed a collaborative arts project with fellow creatives. This experience was truly transformative, as it provided me the chance to work closely with a diverse group of artists from across Ethiopia. The project was an incredible fusion of ideas and talents, allowing us to explore new artistic possibilities together. The collaborative environment fostered a deep sense of community, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent with the team, learning from and inspiring one another. The connections and creative insights gained during this time have had a lasting impact on my approach to art and collaboration.​​​
